Current Volunteer Opportunities in the Metro MN Area

NEW – Memory Walk Revenue Committee

The Association is forming a new committee to focus on increasing revenue from the 2008 Twin Cities Memory Walk. If you have experience with fundraising, sponsorship, public relations, marketing or business, we would like to talk with you further about this opportunity. Information Helpline Assistants

Join a talented group of individuals who answer Information Helpline inquires in our office. If you have a professional and/or an educational background related to Alzheimer's disease please consider this area of service. Shifts are available during regular business hours. Good communication and computer skills necessary. Training is provided.

Office Assistance/Data Entry

Assist our personnel with various clerical-related projects.

Public Policy Advocacy

If you have an interest in legislative issues, join our advocates as they organize letter-writing campaigns, speak to legislators, phone interested individuals, and more.

Special Events

Assist us with fundraising events, conferences, and educational sessions. Volunteers are needed to serve in various capacities dependent on event.

Special Projects

Assist in one or more of our departments with short or long term projects. Various opportunities are available for your area of interest or expertise.

Support Group Facilitators

Facilitate or co-facilitate an Alzheimer's Association affiliated support group for those caring for someone with memory loss for the Alzheimer's Association Minnesota - North Dakota chapter on an ongoing basis.

Current Volunteer Opportunities in Our Regional Centers and Beyond

The following opportunities and more are available in each of our regional centers as well as communities throughout the Minnesota - North Dakota area. No matter where you live, call for information how you can be involved to discover the rewards through service!

General Office Assistance

Assistance needed in our regional center offices to perform clerical-related tasks. Basic computer skills are helpful, but not essential. Flexible scheduling is available during general business hours. If you are interested in volunteering at a location near you, please call for additional information.

Support Group Facilitators

Facilitate or co-facilitate an Alzheimer's Association affiliated support group for those caring for someone with memory loss for the Alzheimer's Association Minnesota - North Dakota chapter on an ongoing basis.

Intern opportunities

Our interns gain valuable experience related to their field of study. Positions are flexible during regular business hours from 12 - 20 hours per week. Openings are available in the following departments.

Special Events Intern

The intern would assist with the overall planning and implementation of the major fundraising events for the Alzheimer's Association.

Community Outreach Intern

Join our Duluth Regional Center to gain experience in a variety of disciplines. The intern will assist our Regional Director in marketing the programs and services of the Association, plan special events, and represent the Association at community events.
