Introduction
Each year, the Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-North Dakota plans several special events to support the Association’s programs and services, and the Association also receives donations generated by friends of the Association who hold events to benefit the Association.
For information about any of the following special events, or to learn how to hold an event of your own, please contact Ashley Snell, Special Events Manager, at 952-857-0532 or e-mail ashley.snell@alz.org.
Memory Walk: Taking Steps to End Alzheimer’s
The Alzheimer’s Association’s Memory Walk is a national event to help those battling Alzheimer’s and related diseases. The event raises public awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and generates funds for local services for people with Alzheimer’s and related diseases, their families and their caregivers.
The Association holds walks throughout Minnesota and North Dakota each fall. There is no fee to walk, though walkers are encouraged to ask friends, family, colleagues and their community to support their efforts with donations.
Remembering Our Stars Gala
The Alzheimer’s Association’s annual spring gala raises funds to support the many programs and services of the Association, and it is also a time to celebrate the lives of loved ones with Alzheimer’s and related diseases. Each year, more than 500 friends of the Association gather together for this fun evening.
Please contact Ashley Snell, Special Events Manager, for more information at 952-857-0532 or e-mail ashley.snell@alz.org.
Mind Mixer
The Mind Mixer was developed in response to the Alzheimer's Association's focus on brain health through its Maintain Your Brain® campaign. The campaign focuses on what people can do today to possibly help reduce their risk of Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.
