Advocacy is a major component of the Alzheimer's Association mission to achieve a world without Alzheimer's disease. We dedicate resources to improving the ability of the "system" to respond to the unique needs of our families. Through our advocacy programs, the Association helps people affected by Alzheimer's have a voice on issues such as research funding, Medicare coverage, and long-term care support. Through meetings, letters, phone calls, and other public actions, we can capture the attention of decision makers and the media.
